Cinnamon-Infused Rice (Perfect for Biryanis or Pilaf)
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups basmati rice
- 2.5 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 tbsp butter or ghee
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Rinse rice until water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and lightly sauté cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom for 1 minute.
- Add rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before fluffing and serving.
