Cinnamon-Infused Rice (Perfect for Biryanis or Pilaf)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups basmati rice
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp butter or ghee
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse rice until water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and lightly sauté cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom for 1 minute.
  3. Add rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  4. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before fluffing and serving.
