Alba Cinnamon Lemonade

A zesty, spiced refreshment with a twist of tradition
Cinnamon and lemon may seem like unlikely partners, but together they strike a beautiful chord. This recipe brings warmth to brightness, layering the tart zing of fresh lemon juice with the gentle spice of Alba cinnamon. The result is a drink that’s vibrant and cooling, with just enough depth to keep things interesting.
Perfect for summer afternoons, slow brunches, or whenever you need a pick-me-up that feels a little elevated, this lemonade feels familiar yet quietly bold. Serve it chilled over ice, or warm it gently for a soothing, tea-like alternative.
Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 cup ice-cold sparkling water – optional
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
*To make homemade cinnamon syrup: Simmer 01 cup water, ½ cup of honey, and 2 cinnamon quill until slightly thickened. Let cool, then strain.
Instructions:
Make the Cinnamon Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 01 cups of water with the honey and cinnamon quills. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the honey. Let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, then remove from heat and steep for another 5 minutes. Discard the cinnamon quills once infused.
Juice the Lemons
While the syrup cools, juice your lemons. Strain if you prefer a pulp-free texture.
Mix the Lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, and the 2 cups of cold water. Stir well. Taste and adjust the sweetness or dilution as needed.
Chill (Optional)
Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours if you’d like a colder, more infused version.
Serve with Style
Pour over ice in tall glasses. Top with a splash of sparkling water just before serving – optional.
Garnish and Enjoy
Add a lemon slice, a mint sprig, or even a cinnamon quill for a polished, aromatic finish..

Why Alba Cinnamon Is Perfect for This Lemonade
In a drink that’s all about balance, the cinnamon has to be gentle. That’s where Alba shines.
Unlike Cassia, which can come across as overpowering and slightly bitter when steeped, Alba cinnamon infuses cleanly. Its floral sweetness pairs beautifully with lemon’s natural acidity, creating a syrup that’s layered but never heavy. It adds warmth without muting the citrus, bringing out the honeyed notes and enhancing the drink’s refreshing quality.
Because this recipe involves a quick infusion and delicate ingredients, the nuance of Alba truly matters. Cassia can turn the syrup cloudy and overly spiced, while Alba keeps it bright, fragrant, and smooth exactly what you want when the goal is clarity, lightness, and natural harmony in every glass.
This is where Alba belongs, not buried in baked goods, but steeped gently into something that lets its elegance shine.
